Welcome to the Hornets!

The Hornets Football Organization is based in Temperance, Michigan and is entering its twelfth season as a member of the Washington Junior Football League (WJFL), which is the second oldest youth football league in the United States. The Hornets are one of three teams in Bedford Township -- the other two teams being the Lions and the T-Birds -- and are comprised of youths in the northern section of the township.

If you have any questions about the Hornets, you can contact Scott Snyder at (419) 944-8524.

Please bear with us while the website is updated and improved.  Thanks.

Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 3pm until 5pm at the VFW on Piehl Rd. and Summerfield Rd.  Due to the sizes of our teams and fire codes the banquet will only be able to hold team members and their parents.  We will unfortunately not be able to host all siblings and we sincerely apologize for this.    Please RSVP with the number of guests that will be attending to bret@ihtagency.com by November 11, 2009.  Main course will be provided.  Please check the site frequently for lists of what the separate players need to bring (paper products, side dishes, desserts etc.)  Again we apologize for any inconvenience the size of the venue may bring your families.

An additional parents night will be held following the banquet starting at 6pm until 10pm at the same location, beer provided, BYOB if needed.   Again please check this site for any changes.

Thanks to all of the football players, cheerleaders and their families for making this such a successful season.  We couldn't have done it without you!!

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES

All families are required to volunteer during the season. On the day of equipment hand out, you must sign up for volunteer times. Parents must show for all volunteer duty or you will be responsible to pay for your child's banquet gift ($35.00)

You will not be scheduled to work in the concession stand during your child's game, so you should sign up for one of the other games.

In addition to helping our own organization, the WJFL requires us to provide volunteers to help at Field Day, sell line ads in the Field Day program, and sell tickets to the League Dance.

UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT DEPOSIT

Each year, the Hornets will spend over $3000 to replace Cheerleader and Football uniforms and equipment. A $20.00 deposit is required for uniforms and equipment. All items must be returned clean and on time in order for your deposit to be refunded.
